This is an infrared test gone wrong. I tried my hand with home made infrared filter, but it kind of didn't work...
The filter blocked the green and blue lights correctly, but let some red in, so the result is more like a cheap red filter than an infrared filter.
But still, I kind of like the crappy result. I might be posting some more of those problematic pictures in the next days. And I might use the filter again in the future simply to produce weird images like this.
If you're wondering, the filter is actually the inside disk of an old floppy disk.
I'll probably experiment some more in the future with the filter although it's not doing what it was supposed to. And another fun thing about this is that to make the filter hold in place I created some cylinder paper that I can put over my lens (it's a small lens, I used my old Canon Powershot for this), so I'll be able to use that tube with other home made lenses in the future, so I guess I'll be experimenting with other materials to create other crappy effects like this! Normally I add textures to my pictures using Photoshop, but I finally have a way to add textures while taking the pictures. I like it since you never know what will come out of it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

The perspective is still cool! And hey, mistakes can be learned, and there are some people who will say that you can't make any mistakes at all.
This piece does create a soft fondness though.
