I've been wanting to get one for a long long time, and I will finally get one in a couple of weeks! It's a gift from my parents. It's ordered and I should be receiving it in one to five weeks!!! I can't wait!!

100 Theme

I keep forgetting about that. I wrote I would try to do the 100 Theme Challenge 6 months ago and still haven't started. Maybe the Lensbaby will give me some inspiration to get going with the list.

Night

I finally did the night photoshoot with friend in a forest 2 minutes from my house. It's been a fantastic night. We spent over an hour in the forest fooling around with four cameras, flashlights, lightsticks, flashs. I'll try to get some pictures online soon. I just need to get the ok from my friends to post their cute faces online.

I started practicing guitar about two months ago. If anyone has suggestions on easy songs for a beginner to learn let me know!!

My Maudlin Career

I was saying in my last journal that I was waiting for the right moment to listen to the new album "My Maudlin Career" by Camera Obscura. I finally found the right moment, sitting on floating logs over a pond in a small forest near my appartment. The album is totally great. I was kind of worried at first since Camera Obscura is getting better and better with each album, but I didn't think they could do better than their previous album because it was totally awesomely beautiful. But guess what, I was wrong, they definitly made it happen. My Maudlin Career has been one of the albums I most listen to since first listening to it. I then went to see them in concert in Montréal on the 26th of June. It was great! I can't wait for them to make a new album and come back to Montréal!

Into The Thousands Of Unknowns

I'm still trying to figure out a way to make my "Into The Thousands Of Unknowns" projet happen. I guess I'll have to start small. I'm trying to convince some people to going photo hunting at night. With a camera, a tripod, a lot of flashlights, and patience to get something out of long exposure shots. If it happens you'll be the first to see the results of that night. I just need to get some sleep before it happens or I won't make it through the night.

I still don't have a clue if it's an artistic project, a life project, or simply a stupid mind thing, but at least I know there's something that needs to be done.

My Maudlin Career

I got myself the new album from Camera Obscura almost two weeks ago but still haven't listened to it.

There are a lot of music albums that changed my life, but only for a small amount of them do I remember where I was the first time I listened to it, and how I felt at that time. Those are the most important to me. I love how it feels when I hear the first notes of the first song and it's as if my life was going backwards a couple of years. As the first song starts I feel exactly the way I felt when I first listened to it. I can almost see what I saw and smell what I smelled.

Some songs even take me back to when I was still a kid in high school.

I love Camera Obscura's music and lyrics, so I'm afraid to waste the new album with a badly thought first time throught it. Yesterday I was in the right mood, at the right place, the temperature was perfect. I was sad, I just got out of the subway, crowded by hundreds of people who weren't human enough to speak to each other and learn from each other, and it was almost raining. Unfortunatly, when I took my mp3 player out of my bag, I found out that the batteries were dead.

I saw this on 's page ([link]) and thought it would be an interesting thing to try.

The 100 Theme Challenge consists of 100 themes for photography, writing or anything artistic.

I still haven't done any of them, but I'll try to start going through the list soon. I'll add links to my deviations in the list as I go.
